Hi, my name is Amy, and this is our blog!

I’m the Am in HilAm Adventures. Ok. So, that seems whacky right? I’m nothing if not a great conversationalist, so I’ll start the conversation by simply stating I love to travel. I’ve been so blessed to have a partner in life, who loves to travel equally, if not more than I. Growing up in NYC, my dad used to take me to John F. Kennedy Airport to watch the planes take off, and fly in. To this day, it remains one of the things that I love to do most.
Always a dreamer, I would wonder where the planes were headed, and where they were returning from? What adventure, had the passengers experienced? I wondered while standing as a young child so low to the ground, always looking up…always wondering…always wondering.

In my husband Hilton, I have a travel partner who loves adventure as much as I. We decided after raising all 4 of our children, and taking them everywhere imaginable, that we…just the two of us, would go, and go, and go, creating incredible memories hopefully to last a lifetime. With so many blessed opportunities over time to see and live on both coasts of the US, the North and South; visiting all parts in between, to include Hawai’i. Traveling to Latin America, and Asia, I’ve taken a lot of flights…watching indeed a lot of planes take off. Over the last 4 years, we’ve been traveling to Europe exclusively. Experiencing the culture and history, I continue to never meet a stranger. It’s hard to not realize that the world is such a huge place. Because of that, I (we), simply cannot stop until we see as much of it as we can!
